Job Summary

Your role at St John of God Health Care

You will be responsible for developing and implementing analytics solutions that uncover patterns predict trends and provide meaningful insights. Your work will drive positive outcomes for patients caregivers and the organisation with guidance from the Analytics Lead - Performance.

In this role you will also support Business Intelligence and self-service tool development using tools such as Power BI with a focus on human-centred design and user experience (UX). Collaborating closely with Hospital Operations and Group Strategy and Planning (including EPMO) data engineering teams and other teams you will deploy analytical solutions into production environments.

The Position

Work collaboratively with business users to understand their requirements and provide analytics support for strategic and operational initiatives.
Build validate and maintain statistical models and machine learning models for advanced analytics use cases.
Tune model performance and assess accuracy bias and reliability.
Monitor model performance over time and retrain as required.
Work with the data engineering team to build structured datasets suitable for predictive analysis and modelling.
Apply statistical analysis to identify patterns correlations and trends within large and multi-dimensional datasets.
Design and create interactive dashboards to communicate complex data insights in an accessible and self-service manner using visualisation tools such as Power BI.
Document methodologies assumptions and findings clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ensure appropriate testing has occurred all change control procedures are met and all changes are documented.
Address ad-hoc requests from the Hospital Operations and other areas as assigned in a timely manner.

You will have a minimum of two-years relevant experience preferably in the healthcare industry with a degree qualification in a Data Science Computer Science Health Informatics Statistics or other quantitative discipline.

To succeed you will have strong data science skills using SQL Python or R and knowledge of tools like Excel Power BI Tableau or other data visualisation platforms and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques including experience with statistical analysis data visualisation and data mining to extract insights from complex healthcare datasets.

Salary $124196 to $137946 per annum plus 12% Superannuation
Permanent full-time position working 76 hours a fortnight
Located in Collins St Melbourne office or Perth Kings Square office
40% work from home option
