Job Summary

Main Purpose of the role

The Financial Controller is responsible for the robust and smooth operation of financial accounting statutory reporting tax compliance audit coordination consolidations and financial business partnering across the business.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting (HOFA) in regard to financial accounting and taxation activities.

Primary Responsibilities

Financial & Statutory Reporting

Lead preparation of statutory accounts.
Oversee monthly reporting.
Ensure compliance with accounting policy treatments
Manage consolidation processes.
Maintain reconciliations and controls.

Audit Support & Compliance

Liaise with external auditors.
Prepare audit schedules and evidence packs.
Resolve audit queries.

Tax Compliance & Oversight

Oversee corporation tax R&D Patent Box VAT and indirect taxes.
Ensure regulatory compliance.

Financial Business Partnering

Support business units
Present financials to non-financial stakeholders.

Financial Operations Oversight

Monitor quality accuracy and timeliness of financial data
Implement right first-time philosophy

Systems Data & Reporting

Develop BI dashboards using Power BI Excel SQL.
Improve automation and reporting accuracy.

What skills are we looking for

To be successful in the role you will be a Qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA) ideally working within a multinational business. You will have the ability to decipher complex and unfamiliar information and produce concise risk managed solutions. You will have high levels of organisation excellent communication skills and a sound understanding of insurance programmes.

You will be able to create and maintain strong relationships at all levels have high levels of emotional intelligence be able to deliver financial information to non-financial people be adaptable and confident.

Ideally you will have experience of project accounting exporting goods working in an aftersales environment and will have delivered risk management change projects.
