Position Overview
The Residential Division Supervisoris a key leadership role within the Residential Program. This position partners closely with the Director of Residence to ensure a safe structured and enriching residential experience for students while providing strong supervision mentorship and professional development for residential staff.
The DivisionSupervisor plays an active hands-on role in daily programming staff leadership and student support while helping translate Boston Higashi Schools mission and therapeutic philosophy into consistent high-quality residential practice.
What Youll Do
Leadership & Staff Development
Supervise mentor and evaluate Master Teachers and Residential Instructors
Train and coach staff in Daily Life Therapy principles and practices
Lead daily and weekly staff meetings that promote collaboration and professional growth
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new residential staff
Encourage the sharing of expertise strategies and resources across teams
Program & Operations Management
Oversee the day-to-day operation of assigned residential divisions
Coordinate daily staff coverage to ensure consistent and safe supervision
Develop and review weekly residential plans aligned with IEP and ISP goals
Plan and support residential events and staff in-service trainings
Maintain accurate written and verbal communication with residential leadership
Student Support & Family Communication
Support students personal care and daily living skill development using Daily Life Therapy
Participate in student activities including structured physical exercise
Attend IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings as requested
Communicate with families promptly respectfully and confidentially in accordance with school procedures
Collaboration & Compliance
Maintain strong working relationships with Day Program staff
Review and reinforce residential policies and procedures on an ongoing basis
Ensure timely reporting of staff student and environmental concerns
Cooperate fully with internal and external audits investigations and reviews
What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with Daily Life Therapy
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
Ability to supervise coach and motivate diverse teams
High level of professionalism judgment and interpersonal effectiveness
Comfort working in a multicultural and collaborative environment
Valid drivers license (if assigned to transport students)
