SUMMARY

University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead quality control efforts on mechanical construction projects. The QA/QC Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry codes project specifications and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enhance and maintain comprehensive quality program.
• Develop and manage welding QC plans and documentation
• Review WPS PQR and WPQ
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients
• Maintain welder certifications and inspection records
• Support training and resolve quality issues

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Welding Tech or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in HVAC or piping systems
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
• 35 years of welding QC experience in construction
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 ASME IX API 1104
• Familiarity with NDT methods (RT UT MT PT)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Additional certifications (e.g. NDT Level II ASQ)
• Additional certifications (e.g. NDT Level II ASQ
