FIFO Hood Cleaning Technician Supervisor

WA Remote Mining Sites (FIFO from Perth)
8&6 Days Only Roster
Full-Time Permanent Position leading a small team

About the Role

As a FIFO Hood Cleaning Supervisor you will lead a small team of technicians responsible for cleaning and maintaining kitchen exhaust systems (range hoods ducts filters and fans) across multiple remote mining sites. This leadership role ensures fire safety hygiene compliance and operational efficiency.

THE POSITION

Supervise and coordinate hood cleaning activities across multiple sites.
Lead and mentor a team of technicians ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Plan and manage cleaning schedules in collaboration with site kitchen and FM teams.
Conduct quality inspections and audits on completed work.
Ensure compliance with AS 1851 NFPA 96 and site-specific safety protocols.
Manage inventory of cleaning equipment chemicals and PPE.
Complete and review job documentation including compliance checklists and photographic evidence.
Report on team performance site issues and compliance outcomes to management.
Travel between remote sites as required.

THE PERSON

Previous supervisory experience in commercial kitchen or industrial cleaning (hood/exhaust cleaning preferred).
Strong knowledge of fire safety and hygiene standards.
White Card
Confined Space Entry & Working at Heights.
Valid WA Drivers Licence.
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Police Clearance.
IKECA or similar certification (desirable but not essential).

Skills & Attributes

Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and make decisions in remote environments.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Physically fit and able to work in hot greasy conditions.
