French Consulting is seeking Registered Nurses - Geriatric to provide onsite nursing care in community living centers at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System. Youll work alongside a dedicated team ensuring care meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards while directly impacting the lives of veterans and their families.
This position is ideal for experienced RNs who thrive in collaborative mission-driven environments and who meet all VA and licensing requirements.
What Youll Do
Clinical Nursing Care
- Deliver high-quality RN care to eligible VA beneficiaries following state-of-the-art standards comparable to civilian medical facilities.
- Administer medications monitor patient conditions and provide geriatric care in accordance with VA guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Adhere to all VA CDC OSHA and Infection Control standards including mandatory immunizations and bloodborne pathogen protocols.
- Complete all VA-required annual training: compliance ethics infection control safety/security emergency preparedness HIPAA and more.
- Ensure all documentation and reporting align with government and facility regulations.
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with LPNs administrative staff and contractors to maintain seamless patient care operations.
- Participate in staff meetings training and briefings as required by the VA.
- Maintain professional conduct in accordance with facility Medical Staff By-Laws and rules/regulations.
Who You Are
- Detail-oriented organized and mission-focused.
- Committed to high standards of patient care and professionalism.
- Knowledgeable of VA protocols and federal healthcare program compliance preferred.
Qualifications
Education
- Completion of an accredited nursing program
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a registered nurse in geriatric or related care
Licensure & Certification
- Valid California RN license with no negative indicators
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Compliance & Eligibility
- Ability to provide verifiable documentation of education training licensure and certifications
- Eligible to pass required background checks
- U.S. citizenship or lawful authorization to work under VA contract compliance requirements including E-Verify
- Ability to provide proof of receiving the annual Influenza vaccine
Language
- Fluent in English (speaking reading and writing)
