The Opportunity
An Outstanding Essex school is seeking a proactive and skilled School Caretaker. This role is vital for the security and maintenance of a high-performing campus ensuring that the environment remains safe and inspiring for all pupils and staff. You will join a dedicated premises team that takes immense pride in the schools facilities.
Core Responsibilities
Site Security: Acting as a primary key-holder managing the daily locking/unlocking of the site and monitoring alarm systems.
Maintenance & Repairs: Undertaking general DIY tasks minor repairs and supervising external contractors.
Compliance: Executing statutory health and safety checks including fire safety equipment and water hygiene monitoring.
Requirements & Compensation
Essential: Proven experience in site management or a skilled trade.
Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government pay scale.
