Due to continued growth in pupil numbers and additional needs within Early Years the school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will support Nursery and Reception pupils helping them to develop confidence independence and essential early learning skills. You will work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging activities and provide targeted support to pupils who require additional help.
You will also support children with SEN EAL speech and language delay and emotional or behavioural needs ensuring that all children are fully included in learning and school life.
Support EYFS curriculum delivery through play-based learning
Provide one-to-one and small group support
Assist with phonics early reading writing and maths
Support pupils with SEN and additional needs
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support classroom routines and transitions
Assist with indoor and outdoor learning activities
Observe and record childrens progress
Work closely with teachers EYFS staff SENCO and parents
Support personal care needs where required
Maintain safeguarding and health and safety standards
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic reliable and passionate about early childhood education.
You should have:
Experience working in EYFS or early years settings
Understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
Experience or interest in SEN support
A calm nurturing and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and resilience in a busy setting
