Due to increased demand for additional support within Nursery and Reception the school is now looking to appoint a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
The EYFS Teaching Assistant will work with children aged 35 supporting them in developing key early learning skills independence and positive relationships. You will assist with both adult-led learning and child-initiated play helping to create a calm and engaging learning environment.
You will also provide targeted support to children with SEN speech and language delay EAL and social or emotional needs ensuring that all pupils can access learning and make progress.
Support daily EYFS activities aligned with the EYFS framework
Provide one-to-one and small group learning support
Assist with phonics early reading writing and maths activities
Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support classroom routines and smooth transitions
Assist with indoor and outdoor learning opportunities
Observe and record childrens progress and development
Work closely with teachers EYFS staff SENCO and parents
Support personal care needs where required
Maintain safeguarding health and safety standards
The successful candidate will be caring reliable and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in Early Years education.
You should have:
Experience working in EYFS or early years settings
Understanding of child development and play-based learning
Experience or interest in SEN and inclusion
A calm nurturing and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
