The EYFS Teaching Assistant will work closely with the EYFS lead and class teacher to support children aged 35. The role involves:
Delivering structured and play-based activities that promote learning across all EYFS areas
Providing one-to-one or small group support for children with additional needs
Supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural development
You will be instrumental in ensuring children with SEN or EAL can access learning and build confidence in the classroom environment.
Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through both adult-led and child-initiated activities
Assist with phonics early literacy numeracy and creative learning
Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN or EAL
Encourage positive behaviour independence and self-regulation
Help manage classroom routines transitions and daily activities including snack time outdoor play and circle time
Observe assess and document childrens progress
Collaborate effectively with teachers SENCO external specialists and parents
Maintain safeguarding health and safety standards at all times
The school seeks a patient nurturing and reliable EYFS Teaching Assistant with:
Experience in EYFS or early years settings
Knowledge of EYFS framework and child development principles
Interest or experience in supporting SEN and inclusive education
