The EYFS Teaching Assistant will support children aged 35 in Nursery and Reception. You will work under the guidance of the EYFS lead and class teacher to support learning social development and behaviour management.
Key responsibilities include supporting children with SEN and EAL fostering independence and assisting in the delivery of play-based and structured learning activities.
Assist in delivering the EYFS curriculum combining play-based and structured learning approaches
Provide targeted support for one-to-one or small group activities particularly for SEN and EAL children
Support early literacy numeracy phonics and creative learning activities
Encourage positive behaviour self-regulation and social interaction
Help manage classroom routines transitions snack times and outdoor activities
Observe assess and record pupil progress in line with EYFS objectives
Work collaboratively with teachers SENCO external specialists and parents
Maintain safeguarding health and safety standards
Support emotional wellbeing and development for all pupils

Has experience in EYFS or early years settings
Demonstrates an understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
Has experience or willingness to work with SEN EAL and diverse learners
