The EYFS Teaching Assistant will support children aged 35 in Nursery and Reception working under the guidance of the EYFS lead and classroom teacher. You will assist with learning social development and behavioural support particularly for SEN and EAL pupils.
Key objectives include:
Supporting access to the EYFS curriculum for all pupils
Providing one-to-one or small group interventions
Encouraging independence positive behaviour and social skills
Supporting both play-based and structured learning activities
Assist in delivering the EYFS curriculum including early literacy numeracy phonics and creative activities
Provide targeted support for children with SEN EAL or social-emotional challenges
Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional regulation
Help maintain classroom routines transitions snack times and outdoor play
Observe assess and document pupil progress against EYFS framework
Collaborate with teachers SENCO specialists and parents
Maintain safeguarding health and safety procedures
Support the emotional wellbeing and social development of all children
