Job Title: Senior Dev Ops Engineer

Location: Cork Ireland ( Hybrid)

Role Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you willbe responsible fordesigning securing andoperatingAWS-based infrastructure that supportshighly available performant and scalable systems. This role sits within the engineering team and partners closely with application engineers to improve reliability performance and operational maturity across the platform.

You will take a lead role incloud securitydatabase operations andinfrastructure optimization applying best-in-class security standards and operational practices. This includes deep hands-on work with AWS services such as DynamoDB OpenSearch and related data and compute services. The role requires strong ownership the ability to assess and reduce risk and a proactive approach to improving system performance observability and resilience in production environments.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design build andoperatesecure scalable andhighly availableAWS cloud infrastructure

• Leadcloud security best practices including IAM network security encryption and compliance controls

• Owndatabase operationsand performance optimization for AWS services such asDynamoDB OpenSearch and related data stores

• Partner closely with engineering teams tooptimizesystem performance reliability and cost efficiency

• Build andmaintainCI/CD pipelinesto automate infrastructure and application deployments

• Implement and manageinfrastructure as codeusing AWS CDK CloudFormation or Terraform

• Establish and improvemonitoring alerting and observabilityfor production systems

• Lead incident response root cause analysis and continuous improvement of operational processes

• Review and influence architectural decisions with a focus onsecurity resiliency and operational excellence

• Mentor engineers on DevOps security and operational best practices

Qualifications&experiencesrequired to be successful in this role:

• 7 yearsof experience in DevOps Site Reliability Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering roles

• Deep hands-on experience operating production systems onAWS

• Strongexpertiseincloud security including IAM VPC design network security and encryption

• Strong experience withdatabase operations and performance tuning includingDynamoDBandOpenSearch

• Experience building andmaintainingCI/CD pipelines preferably using GitLab

• Experience withinfrastructure as code(AWS CDK CloudFormation or Terraform)

• Strong understanding ofhigh-availability fault tolerance and disaster recoverypatterns

• Experience supportingmicroservices or distributed systemsin production

• Experience working in anAgile development environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Haves:

• Experience withsecurity frameworks and compliance standards(e.g. SOC 2 ISO 27001)

• Experience withperformance testing and capacity planning

• Experience withlogging monitoring and observability toolsin AWS-native or third-party stacks
