The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class cost-effective financial services and compliancein a J&J wayto our Operating Companies around the world. The Account to Report (A2R) process area is a team of credo based talented finance experts structured in a Global Process based organization executing processes in a compliant and efficient way through standardization and automation. The A2R goal is to deliver results through close connection to our corporate and business finance partners while demonstrating a deep understanding of the J&J business. Following the successful set-up of the new hub in Bangalore this position will be in Bangalore working in the Account to Report (A2R) team.

Key Responsibilities:

Be compliant with applicable laws and regulations and follow guidelines in the J&J Credo

Maintain Operational Excellence

• Responsible for leading accounting and daily operations for Account to Report (A2R) teams. The current scope covers leading the teams that deliver on financial reporting Close-coordination and the CFIN platform team responsible for managing the interface between existing ERPs and CFIN platform.
• Timely closing & execution of financials as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments fully observing Compliance Internal Audit & SOX requirements.
• Accountable for completeness accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
• Driving deep expertise ensuring teams are fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas.
• Lead a large accounting team across GS hubs like Bengaluru Suzhou Manilla etc.
• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities.
• Ensure adherence monitor remediate and align compliance responsibilities with team members. Lead mitigate and intensify risks on a timely basis.
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place to achieve adequate internal and external audit ratings.

Talent Management

• Attract develop and retain a highly competent high-performing motivated and diverse Credo-based team.
• Develop succession plans for and support career development of the team.
• Ensure effective performance management within team.
• Lead Accounting team (team of analysts team leads and Sr. team leads).

Be a Trusted Business Partner

• Champion & Influence strategy & solutions demonstrating strong Business acumen.
• Internally recruit mentor and drive the individual Process SMEs to ensure cross sector cross region and cross process alignment ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach.
• If assigned a role of Operational Key Contact (OKC) then candidates will be the key liaison point within their Process for a defined Region & Sector with BUF and CFMs answering queries coordinating with SMEs/analysts on process and operational matters resolving issues and updating partners on close status.

• Champions & supports continuous improvement outlook throughout the team identifying and pursuing business and efficiency opportunities.
• Passion to lead champion and support operational change for the greater good of the global organization.

Qualifications:

Education

• A minimum of a bachelors level degree or equivalent is required preferably in accounting finance or related business discipline.
• ACA ICWA CPA CMA MBA and/or other financial certifications is highly preferred.

Required

• At least 10 years of professional experience is required.
• At least 4 years of Management / Supervisory experience is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
• Ability to frame clear & concise communication across all relevant stakeholders.
• Be open to new ideas rapid change and embracing new technologies.

Preferred

• Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO.
• Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
• Optimally manage multiple priorities be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines.
• Proven US GAAP accounting knowledge.
• Digital/ intelligent automation capabilities.

Other

• Candidates may be asked to work shifts to align with global assignments in Americas / EMEA / Asia.
• Lead/Participate in other Regional/Global/Cross functional duties as assigned.
• This role may require international travel up to 5% of the time depending on the requirements
• Fluent English other language skills desirable.
