What Youll Do

As an Inspector youll be part of our Metals Plant team located in Chesterfield MI. Youll get to:

• Approves initial part for start-up using various measuring equipment and techniques.
• Gathers and reports SPC information during production run.
• Completes various inspection reports.
• Audits production parts to ensure parts meet acceptable criteria.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of any deviation from established part parameters.
• May be required to verify that raw material meets specifications.
• May be required to do sample layouts.
• May be required to perform physical property testing.
• Produces visual inspection aids for production floor.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read instructions and maintenance of inspection equipment and maintenance and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work.
• Ability to read and write to follow quality and related instructions.
• Obtain a Hilo license within the probationary period.
• Practical application of fractions percentages ration and proportion logarithms slide rule practical algebra geometric construction and essentials of trigonometry
