We are looking for a highly motivated Legal Associate (f/d/m) to work closely with our General Counsel in a very fast-moving and VC-funded startup.

We are looking for a highly motivated Legal Associate (f/d/m) to work closely with our General Counsel in a very fast-moving and VC-funded startup.
YOUR MISSION
- Collaborate closely with the General Counsel to support management and all teams on legal matters particularly in the areas of commercial and IT law as well as corporate civil and data protection law.
- Contribute to ensuring the company adheres to applicable legal and regulatory frameworks assisting with the design and documentation of policies and internal processes. Support the company in achieving and maintaining key certifications such as ISO 27001.
- Support in designing best-in-class order forms and contracts that are easy to use and easy to understand while maintaining an acceptable legal position.
- Review and draft contract terms including company agreements RfP terms and terms and conditions for our platform supplier and customer relationships.
- Provide legal support throughout further product development working closely with the product team on wording and the translation of legal concepts to the CEEZER Platform.
- Coordinate external lawyers and law firms acting as a central point of contact for legal communications for individual projects.
- If you are interested in financing tax or labour law topics you will be able to support here too.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Fully qualified German lawyer with above-average results willing to drive the further growth of a mission-based startup.
- Have solid knowledge of commercial and IT law ideally complemented by experience in data protection and corporate law.
- Bring a strong understanding of business contexts and technological developments. Legal operations skills would be a big plus.
- Previous professional experience in a law firm or corporate legal department ideally in the tech or startup environment is not required but a big plus.
- An independent structured work style with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and understandably and to build good working relationships with other teams.
- Fluency in German and English both written and spoken is required.
- A valid working permit in Germany.
