As the Product Owner for our Microservice Platform and High Performance Computing AI Platform you will lead the roadmap for GPU-enabled platforms across edge cloud and hybrid environments. You will architect resilient solutions guide strategic decisions and ensure the platform scales with speed and reliability backed by the investment to win. Your work will unlock faster insights smarter operations and secure environments that power discovery and delivery.
You will partner across architecture engineering operations and product teams turning business requirements into robust compliant solutions. This is a hands-on leadership roleowning early-stage decisions aligning to enterprise standards and building the technical foundations that help our scientists and colleagues perform at their peak.
Innovation and Horizon Scanning: Continually consider indicators of future capabilities (Horizon 2 and 3) to advise platform strategy and investments.
Technology Roadmaps and Strategy: Take ownership for and lead the development and implementation of technology roadmaps for Microservice Platform and HPC AI Platform capabilities.
Architecture and Design: Author and review solution blueprints addressing business application data and infrastructure needs; ensure designs are highly resilient and aligned to enterprise architecture.
Enterprise Alignment and Financial Stewardship: Architect comprehensive solutions aligned to standards and principles demonstrating common services; chip in to early-phase estimates and buy-versus-build decisions that strengthen business cases.
Requirements and Selection: Collaborate with Operations Business Analysis and Solution Engineering to handle functional and technical requirements; drive software and system selection processes.
Solution Governance and Compliance: Provide technical expertise to project teams; conduct architectural reviews; ensure consistency to enterprise guidelines and standards throughout the lifecycle.
Reusable Components and Patterns: Chip in to the development implementation and maintenance of standard architectural components that increase speed consistency and quality.
Supplier and Partner Management: Work with third-party suppliers; verify delivery against roadmaps and blueprints; chip in to local or functional design documents that enhance delivery outcomes.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document all architecture analysis and design work; build deep expertise in at least one architecture domain; share standards to advance the Architecture Capability.
Platform Support and Consultancy: Provide enterprise thinking and solution design support across Microservice Platform HPC AI Platform GPU platforms at edge/cloud/hybrid; offer consultancy across adjacent technical domains.
Product Owner whose main aim is to drive innovation in the realm of Microservice Platform/ High Performance Computing AI Platform/GPU based platform support at Edge /Cloud / Hybrid Cloud and Technical Domains Enterprise Edge & Hybrid Cloud technologies. The role will be accountable to provide enterprise thinking and solution design support in the Microservice Platform/ High Performance Computing AI Platform capability and will also provide support/consultancy in other domains.
Continually considers indicators of future in the present (i.e. Horizon 2 and 3 of the Three Horizon Approach to Innovation).
Acquires and maintains current knowledge and awareness of community and industry developments in the domain of Microservice Platform/ High Performance Computing AI Platform technologies.
Takes ownership for and owns the development and implementation of technology roadmaps and strategies.
Authors and reviews solution blueprints for projects or solutions that address business/application/data/infrastructure requirements.
Works with Operations Business Analysis and Solution Engineering functions and supports functional & technical requirements management including driving software/system selection processes.
Ensures that solution architectures and designs are highly resilient and address business application information and infrastructure architectural requirements.
Accountable for architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned to AstraZenecas Enterprise Architecture in support of a given portfolio.
Partners with Enterprise Architects Project Managers Business Analysts and Solution Engineers to create solutions that are aligned to AstraZeneca architecture standards and principles bringing to bear common solutions and services and meet the financial targets (cost and benefits).
Within the solution development lifecycle is accountable for solution evaluation and selection buy vs. build decisions and early-phase project estimates which chip in to the case.
Provides technical expertise support for project teams and conducts AZ architectural reviews throughout project lifecycle.
Ensures compliance with existing EA guidelines and standards (e.g. AZ Architecture Engagement Process (ISPMM) and EA Software Standards).
Chips in to project and service teams in the development implementation and maintenance of standard architectural components.
Works with third party suppliers as required and chips in to the creation of local or functional design documents.
Works with third party suppliers to verify technical development and delivery are in alignment with the Architecture Roadmap Blueprint and Information Services Strategy.
Documents all architecture analysis and design work.
Develops solid understanding and expertise in at least one architecture domain.
Chips in to the development of the Architecture Capability within Information Services by documenting and sharing knowledge and guidelines with peer Architects and Engineers.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes containers and service mesh technologies for microservice platforms.
Expertise in GPU platforms and scheduling for AI/ML workloads (e.g. NVIDIA ecosystem CUDA Slurm Kubernetes device plugins).
Solid understanding of cloud platforms and hybrid patterns (AWS Azure GCP) including infrastructure as code and automation.
Deep understanding of observability reliability and security for distributed systems (e.g. logging tracing SRE practices zero trust).
Background in cost optimization performance engineering and managing resources for high-scale compute environments.
Experience designing data and model pipelines that integrate AI/ML workflows into enterprise platforms.
Track record of successful vendor management and verification of delivery against architectural roadmaps.
