The role will require someone very self-directed creative and willing to explore new ways of organising addition the Lead Organiser will demonstrate:Strong organisational skillsAn ability to get up to speed quickly in a new campaign areaGood communication messaging and rapport building skills;An ability to plan and organise work and achieve ability to participate in the unions political and social justice agenda;Ensure that the Unions values of equity diversity and inclusion are upheld and SELECTION CRITERIALead Organiser:Experience successfully leading a team of organisers to achieve organising outcomes of membership growth leadership and participationExperience setting and developing a positive team to operationalise strategic campaign plans to achieve campaign objectivesAn ability to work well under pressure in a very fast paced environmentExperience developing organisers to improve their organising capacityExperience in creative thinking identifying organising challenges and brainstorming new solutionsA passion and drive to improve workers lives and achieving the goals of the with experience in union or related organising and campaigning will be highly perform this job you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:A valid drivers licence; andRight of Entry PermitsImmunisation against COVID-19 or have a medical exemptionRENUMERATIONAn attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant which will include:Salary commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience;A motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance;16% superannuation6 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loadingHOW TO APPLYPlease submit your resume together with a cover letter addressing the selection criteria to People Culture and Change through the UWU Careers PortalCLOSING DATECompleted applications must be received by 4pm (AEST) Wednesday 4 February 2026For further information about the role please email
