Job Summary

The Production Expeditor is responsible for planning and tracking the flow of production orders as compared to schedule objectives.  Responsibilities include coordination with Operations Program Manager communication of plans and status to all applicable department Managers and actively tracking and facilitating physical production progress.

This is a full-time exempt position that requires daily on-site presence with physical activity such as moving hardware between buildings. You will work under limited supervision from the Director of Manufacturing and Production Test and your success in the role will be evaluated based on specific performance metrics related to meeting production schedules and achieving operational efficiency goals.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Understand electronic manufacturing build process and product routing to be able to facilitate accurate shop order status.  
  • Create and maintain promise and predicted dates based on current capacity.
  • Evaluate and maintain schedule information for all open Shop Orders (SOs) in IFS.
  • Facilitate the flow of production based on defined FIFO/Lean processes. Coordinate with department Managers to ensure queuing is accurate and maintained daily. 
  • Proactively identify potential risks material shortages or process bottlenecks and collaborate with engineering quality control and planning departments to resolve issues swiftly.
  • Support internal weekly program management team status meetings
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting workflow optimizations aimed at enhancing efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications :

Education or Formal Training

Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Logistics Engineering or other related fields.

Experience

2-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (such as IFS) as well as Microsoft Office for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities to coordinate with diverse teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to make timely decisions when addressing production issues and delays.
  • Preferred qualifications include understanding of Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing processes.

 

 


Additional Information :

Compensation: Base pay range is $ depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical dental and vision insurance plans along with a generous 401(k) retirement addition to base salary employees are eligible for a year-end bonus.
