Job Summary

Working Pattern: Working 5 days over a 7 day week

* Mandatory weekend working on a rotational basis *

East Anglia Childrens Hospices (EACH) is looking for a Retail Shop Manager to lead the team at our new St Neots shop. This is a fantastic opportunity to join EACHs vibrant retail team shaping a new store from the beginningto maximise income from donated goods new products Gift Aid and eCommerce.

Youll build and support a team of staff and volunteers drive community engagement and ensure a welcoming inclusive and efficiently retail environment while supporting children and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families.

Our St Neots shop will open mid 2026in one of the towns most popular and vibrant areas.

What youll be doing:

  • Leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver outstanding customer service and maximise income from donated goods new products Gift Aid and eCommerce.
  • Creating a welcoming inclusive and well-presented shop environment.
  • Driving performance through effective merchandising pricing and promotional activity.
  • Building strong relationships in the local community to encourage donations and volunteer support.
  • Managing day-to-day operations including health & safety stock rotation and financial reporting.

What were looking for:

  • Experience in retail management ideally in a dynamic retail or charity setting.
  • A warm inclusive and motivating leadership style.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Confidence using tills tablets and online platforms (e.g. eBay).
  • A commitment to EACHs values and mission.
  • Experience of working with volunteers would be an advantage however this role would also suit a candidate with high street retail experience.
