Job Summary
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction.
We are currently seeking a per-diemMedical Assistant with LAB Experienceto join our team at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility located in Carlisle Indiana.
Pay Rate Range is $20-22/hour depending on experience
The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs implementing orders for diagnostic lab test and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally responsibilities include recording EKGs maintaining and cleaning medical equipment and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Medical Assistant license/certification
- Minimum of 6 months Lab Experience
- Current CPR
- Corrections experience preferred not required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance to include drug screen and criminal background check
