Downers Network Services team works alongside some of Aotearoas largest energy providers helping maintain and enhance the critical networks that power our communities. With more than 500 specialists nationwide were committed to being kaitiaki guardians of New Zealands essential energy infrastructure.
Based at our Lower Hutt depot this full time permanent role is an opportunity for an experienced Line Mechanic to carry out high quality construction maintenance installation and fault response work across the Wellington electricity network.
Youll join a skilled tight knit team delivering work that directly contributes to a safer more resilient and sustainable future for Aotearoa.
Mōu koe About You
Youre an experienced Line Mechanic who takes pride in safe high quality workmanship and can work both independently and within a field crew.
You will bring:
Essential
- EWRB Line Mechanic Registration with a current practising licence
- NZQA Level 4 qualification
- Current Class 1 drivers licence
- Strong working knowledge of SMEI and safe LV electrical work practice
- Ability to clearly communicate (including WMS and JSEA documentation)
Desirable
- G&B qualification
- Class 2 or heavy trade licence
- Extensive industry-related experience
