The Ocean Pricing Analyst is responsible for preparing organizing and tracking ocean freight quotations and BIDs ensuring accuracy efficiency and alignment with company standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handle quotation and BID requests within established deadlines.
- Prepare proposals using Expeditors official templates.
- Include terms and conditions in all quotations.
- Log quotations in the internal network and follow BID procedures for local customers.
- Request rates from origin/destination offices and follow up on responses escalating when necessary.
- Verify carrier and co-loader rates ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Develop strong relationships with carriers co-loaders and customers including active follow-up.
- Coordinate the delivery of quotations to customers and the global network.
- Support the sales team with new customer or new lane opportunities.
- Provide feedback to suppliers regarding awarded archived or rejected quotations including reasons.
- Record statistics on approved and rejected quotations.
- Archive e-docs and relevant documents.
- Check pick-up and delivery charges in Transcon when needed.
- Inform the import/export operational teams about agreed rates and negotiations.
- Suggest rate adjustments based on market conditions and stay updated on routes partners and market trends.
- Support customer service and billing teams regarding negotiated rates.
- Follow company policies and procedures (OPS).
- Maintain strong relationships with sales LAM brokerage transcon the ocean operations team and all other areas involved.
- Complete and comply with 52 hours of annual corporate training
- Attend required training classes and complete courses according to the Development Map
Qualifications :
- Fluent English
- Strong computer proficiency
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills fostering effective collaboration among team members and clients
- Highly effective interpersonal communication abilities
