We are looking for a Summer Trainee Electrical/Automation Engineer to join our Port Cranes Technology Control and Instruments Core Team in Hyvinkää. As a trainee you will work on developing subsystems and functions for port crane equipment. Your daily responsibilities include studying new designs maintaining and continuously improving existing systems together with suppliers and engineering. Furthermore you will provide detailed engineering for systems and maintain product design.

You will work closely with your team members who help you get started and support you in your day-to-day activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your cooperation skills and network with the best talents of your industry. The job is located Hyvinkää with the possibility for partial remote work.

What kind of talent are we looking for

This role is ideal for a Electrical Mechatronic Power electronics or Automation student who is eager to learn more about machine engineering tasks. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself but we especially value your good teamwork skills hard-working attitude and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important.

Requirements:

• Academic background in Electrical or Automation studies (preferably 2nd-4th year studies).
• Understanding of basics of Electrics mechanics power electronics (inverters) PLC controls from your studies working life or other interest in similar technology.
• You know how to use traditional IT-programs e.g. Microsoft Office Email etc.
• Prior work experience in similar tasks is seen as a beneficial.
