Job Description

We are looking for a Virtualisation Engineer - L3 to join our fast-paced operations team supporting VMware environments. This position will be full-time long-term contract and hybrid.

What Youll Do

• Provide expert-level technical support for VMware products including vSphere ESXi vCenter and vSAN.

• Manage storage and networking resources within a virtualised environment.

• Collaborate with development teams to enhance automation and efficiency.

• Monitor and optimise the performance and availability of the VMware environment.

What Youll Need

Required:

• 10 years of experience in VMware administration and engineering (vSphere 7 ESXi vCenter vSAN etc.).

• Strong knowledge of hardware virtualization technologies specifically VMware vSphere version 7 vSAN and vRealize Operations Manager.

• Experience supporting multiple hardware models (Dell HPe).

• Strong knowledge of VMware metro-clusters and storage replication technology.

• Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell Bash etc.).

• Solid knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Splunk Prometheus etc.).

• Good documentation skills and operational awareness.

• Experience integrating new solutions with existing management toolsets such as vRealize Operations Log Insight and automation platforms.

• Highly competent in managing time tasks and key stakeholders.

• Ability to understand issues quickly identify solutions and resolve them in a timely manner.

Preferred:

• Enterprise SAN storage experience (configuration performance optimisation troubleshooting).

• Familiarity with Pure Storage or willingness to learn and contribute in this space.

• VMware VCP or Pure Storage certifications.

• Automation and scripting experience (PowerCLI Python).
