DescriptionOversees all Set-up Banquet functions under the direction of the Banquet Manager. Ensuring guest satisfaction. Assists in on-going evaluation of employees. Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
HOURLY RATE: $18.00
Responsibilities- Responsible for ensuring that Silver Legacys service standards are met during banquet functions including set-up equipment room set-up lighting etc.
- Ensure all rooms are set up according to the banquet event order (BEO)
- Ensure that door signs are put in daily for each function according to BEO
- Ensure that back hallways and equipment is organized clean and in its correct space allowing for proper egress
- Notify Assistant Manager of any damage to equipment as soon as possible
- Always present a professional manner
- Review weekly functions and employee scheduling with Banquet Manager
- Ensure that proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times
- Exemplify our core values family style service our mission and vision
- Exemplify our DEI (diversity equity inclusion) culture
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications- Strong verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 2-4 years as Banquet Captain in a multi-unit hotel or casino
- High School diploma or equivalent
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Frequent walking
- Work area is subject to variable temperatures
- May be subject to smoking environment and moderate noise
GUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values service standards and family style service.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence have excellent communication skills and observation skills and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off nights weekends holidays and overtime as needed.
