Job Summary

TheAutomation Construction Manager oversees large-scale building automation projects managing budgets schedules and technical execution while ensuring compliance with control specifications. This role combines deep DDC design-buildexpertisewith strong collaboration skills to work with GCs MEPs and addition to project delivery the position drives growth through strategic business development client relationships and innovative construction practiceswhile mentoring teams to strengthen the automation division.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of large-scale building automation construction projects including budgets schedules material procurement and resource allocation.
  • Oversee technical execution with a strong understanding of control sequences and specifications.
  • Collaborate daily with General Contractors Mechanical Contractors MEPs and Design Engineers.
  • Drive business development byidentifyingand pursuing major construction opportunities aligned with company goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand market share in the construction sector.
  • Assistin job walksscopedefinition and proposal development for large projects.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to maximize profitability.
  • Stay informed on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices (e.g. BIM integration pre-fabrication).
  • Mentor and develop project engineers andmanagerstrain sales teams on strategic approaches to large construction opportunities.
  • Foster strong client relationships and ensure seamless pre-construction and project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineeringconstructionmanagement or related field.
  • 10 years in automation and mechanical trades
  • Project management anddesign-buildexperience in DDC.
  • Strong understanding of building automation andcontrolssystems; ability to interpret control sequences and specifications.
  • Proventrack recordin business development sales and contract negotiation within the automation industry.
  • Proficiencyin MS Project Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with BIM and other construction technologies.
  • Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; willingness to travel as needed.
