The Executive Vice President of Operations (EVPO) is a key leadership role and is responsible for overseeing the operational excellence financial performance and strategic growth of Aegis Livings portfolio of senior living communities. Reporting directly to the COO the EVPO will lead a high-performing team to ensure consistent delivery of premium resident experience operational efficiency and strong business outcomes across our highest profile locations/communities in Washington California and Las Vegas. This position demands a detail-oriented leader with a proven track record in developing recruiting and retaining top talent while driving financial and strategic initiatives that align with Aegis Livings mission to provide world-class senior living.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership and Oversight: Provide strategic direction for daily operations across all communities ensuring alignment with Aegis Livings brand values quality standards and regulatory compliance. Oversee multi-site management including labor optimization occupancy strategies expense control and quality of services while implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and operational efficiency. Proven track record of operating at a high level while having a keen understanding of the service and metrics delivered at each property/community.
- Financial and Strategic Performance: Drive strong financial outcomes through P&L accountability budgeting forecasting and revenue optimization. Develop and execute long-term strategic plans that support growth including expansion into new markets while monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy revenue rates resident and staff retention and cost efficiencies to achieve or exceed targets.
- Talent Development and Team Building: Lead efforts to recruit develop and retain top talent at all levels fostering a servant leader culture of excellence collaboration and professional growth. Implement training programs inspired by luxury hospitality models to build high-performing teams that deliver personalized resident-centered care.
- Resident Experience and Service Excellence: Champion a hospitality-driven approach to providing loving care supporting residents to thrive regardless of their level of physical or cognitive frailty. Ensure communities provide exceptional personalized services including wellness programs dining activities and amenities while optimizing the end-to-end resident journey from move-in to ongoing engagement.
- Family Peace of Mind: Diplomatically engage with resident family members working to understand and meet their expectations. Make every effort to provide peace of mind to our family members.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. executive team regional managers) and external partners (e.g. other Aegis communities vendors regulators). Foster cross-functional collaboration across operations sales marketing finance and human resources to support seamless execution and innovation.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Oversee crisis management safety protocols and compliance with federal state and local regulations in senior living. Implement Aegis best practices for labor and quality strategies.
- Innovation and Growth Initiatives: Lead the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and processes to enhance operations such as data-driven analytics for performance tracking and sustainable practices. Support renovations to uphold the highest property standards.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Hospitality Management Healthcare Administration or a related field; Masters degree preferred. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living operations luxury hospitality or a related multi-site service industry with at least 5 years in a senior executive role (e.g. VP or higher equivalent).
Skills and Competencies:
- Detail-Oriented Execution: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex data identify opportunities and implement precise solutions for operational challenges.
- Sales and Marketing: Closely collaborate with corporate regional and community staff to ensure that appropriate marketing plans are creatively developed and carefully executed. Ensure that community level sales tools are being strategically used in order to close at expected ratios.
- Talent Management: Proven expertise in recruiting mentoring and retaining high-caliber teams with a focus on leadership development and succession planning.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management including P&L oversight budgeting and revenue strategies with a track record of driving profitable growth in multi-location environments.
