The Role
Metering at So Energy is entering an exciting phase of evolution as we expand our smart portfolio and adopt emerging technologies. We are recruiting for a Smart Metering Team Leader who will manage our in-life smart operations team ensuring the ongoing performance health and connectivity of our smart meter portfolio.
This role will be central to maintaining high levels of smart performance across our estate proactively identifying issues driving resolutions and ensuring meters remain connected so that customers continue to receive an outstanding service. The ideal candidate will be skilled in organising motivating and developing teams with a proven track record in performance management creative problem-solving and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

What youll be getting up to in this role:
In this role the Smart Metering Team Leader will work closely with a range of internal teams to ensure the smooth running of inlife smart operations. Daytoday collaboration will involve working directly with the smart inlife team to manage workflow maintain highquality output and support people development.
They will work regularly with Field Operations and installation partners to resolve connectivity issues prioritise site interventions and ensure technical issues are addressed efficiently.
The role will also engage with technical metering and smart delivery teams on rootcause analysis portfolio performance firmware or configuration improvements and wider continuous improvement initiatives that support the overall health of the smart estate.
Close interaction with Billing and Settlements will be essential to ensure accurate smart reads feed into industry processes and to jointly resolve exceptions that impact customers or regulatory performance.
Customer Services and Complaints teams will rely on this role for expertise in resolving complex smartrelated issues and ensuring a consistent highquality customer experience.
Finally there will be regular interaction with Regulatory and Compliance to ensure operational workflows
Youre a great match if:
Strong experience and detailed knowledge of smart metering including the endtoend operation of smart meters connectivity performance issue diagnostics and industry processes.
Proven ability to manage and coordinate workflow within a team delivering highquality outputs in fastpaced or highpressure environments.
Demonstrated capability in performance management coaching and developing people to bring out strong individual and team results.
Excellent verbal communication skills with confidence in both onetoone conversations and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
Robust problemsolving skills with the ability to identify root causes drive solutions and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Strong analytical and detailfocused mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Ability to work effectively across teams and build productive relationships at all levels of the organisation.
Ability to influence and support change particularly in environments undergoing transformation or operational improvement programmes.
Proven experience managing external stakeholders including monitoring performance of thirdparty partners or suppliers.
