We are seeking a professional adaptable and highly organised School Receptionist to join a vibrant all-through school in Southwark. This is a unique opportunity to work in a setting where behaviour and attitudes are rated as Outstanding ensuring a respectful and focused environment. As this is a 416 setting you will be the first point of contact for a diverse community spanning primary and secondary phases. This is a fast-paced front-of-house role that requires a candidate who can maintain a welcoming and professional demeanour under significant pressure.
Front of House: Managing a high volume of face-to-face enquiries from parents pupils and visitors with a calm and authoritative manner.
Administrative Support: Handling a busy switchboard and managing central school email accounts during peak morning and afternoon periods.
Safeguarding: Strictly enforcing visitor entry protocols and maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR) in line with statutory requirements.
Pressure Management: Multi-tasking between administrative duties and immediate front-desk needs in a high-traffic environment.
Essential: Previous experience in a school office or a high-pressure reception environment. Proficiency with school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS or Arbor) is highly desirable.
Salary: Paid on the Inner London local government pay scale (Pro-rata).
