Weve built a broad and diverse portfolio and we are continuously expanding it across several brands. Our product development efforts span a wide range of formats including capsules tablets powders gummies liquids and sprays offering substantial room to create meaningful and differentiated formulations.

We are growing our Product Development team a collaborative group dedicated to creating high-quality evidence-based products that align with our brand values and customer needs.

Tasks

As a Product Developer for Nutritional Supplements you will play a key role in shaping Vanataris product portfolio. You will work closely with the Head of Product Development company leadership and teams across brand management eCommerce design and marketing to bring new supplement ideas from concept to launch.

Within the Product Development team you will have significant creative freedom to pitch and pursue new product ideas formats and innovation opportunities. You will own the development process end to end combining scientific rigor structured project management and creative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development for new vegan food supplements from idea generation to market-ready formulations
• Conduct scientific research to evaluate ingredients dosages mechanisms safety and evidence quality
• Analyse international market trends consumer insights and the competitive landscape to identify opportunity areas
• Build structured actionable briefs for marketing design and social media teams
• Collaborate closely with brand management eCommerce supply chain marketing and design to ensure timely high-quality product launches
• Track product performance post-launch and recommend improvements and lifecycle planning
• Ensure compliance with relevant international regulatory requirements
• Maintain high documentation standards and ensure transparency throughout all development stages
• Help shape product formats formulations and innovation areas with substantial room to explore and propose new ideas
• Contribute to content creation for Sales and Marketing channels with your scientific knowledge and expertise

Requirements

Must-haves

3 years of experience in product development of food supplements or a closely related field

• Academic background in Nutritional Sciences Food Science or a related discipline - Masters degree preferred
• Deep knowledge of dietary supplement formulation
• Fluent English; strong German skills are a plus
• Strong scientific literacy and the ability to critically evaluate clinical research
• High attention to detail and a structured working style
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• High self-initiative and comfort working in a lean collaborative environment
• Genuine interest in health nutrition and wellness

Nice-to-haves

Experience developing powder formulations (e.g. blends drink mixes sachets)

• Strong understanding of the online retail and DTC environment
• Experience in quality management (QM)
• Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project management tools
• Experience in the development of gummies
