Ever wondered what happens to wastewater after it leaves our homes
At Anglian Water we treat and recycle wastewater in a way that helps protect the environment and create renewable energy. Using natural biological processes we safely treat waste turn it into reusable biosolids for farming and generate green energy that helps power our sites.
This work plays a vital role in keeping our rivers and seas clean while reducing our reliance on traditional energy sources

As a Bioresources Maintenance Technician Apprentice youll learn how to look after the equipment that keeps our wastewater treatment sites operating safely and efficiently. You dont need experience in engineering or the water industrywell teach you everything you need to know.
Youll split your time between collegebased learning and handson experience at our sites working alongside experienced technicians and gaining realworld skills that last a lifetime.
This is a hands-on practical role working outside in a variety of weather; the work is varied rewarding and at times challenging but no two days are the same! Once qualified youll join a 24/7 standby rota because your role is vital.

Inspectmaintainand care for essential assets and equipment
Support fault diagnosis and keep equipment running efficiently
Workand learnalongside experiencedmechanicaland electricaltechnicians and follow health & safety rules
Take ownership of your development and contribute to team success
Whatwerelooking for:
English Mathsand Science GCSEs(grades 94/A*C) we can also accept Level 2 Functional Skills -predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams
Genuine interest in the water industry and protecting the environment
Good communicationskills and a team mindset
Willingness to work outdoors and learn new things
If you do not currently hold a full UK drivinglicenceyoullneed to obtain one by the end of year two of theprogramme or if thisisntpossible due to your age within one year of your 17th birthday.
