The Maintenance/Transmitter Engineer is responsible for transmitter site maintenance; and maintenance of broadcast and technology related equipment at the studio.
- Oversee maintain and repair broadcast transmitter antenna and signal distribution systems.
- Participate in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the studio.
- Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility.
- Participate in engineering and other technical projects.
- Evaluate select install service and maintain broadcast equipment and information technology systems.
- Work closely with management and co-workers to ensure company objectives are being met.
- Understand and assist in compliance with rules and regulations applicable to FCC local state and federal laws.
- Other duties as needed.
- Salary - $55000 - $65000
Requirements & Skills:
- Can Do attitude desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/IT practices
- Highly motivated able to work on your own or part of a team.
- Minimum 3 years previous broadcast engineering experience with an RF and transmitter background.
- Experience operating troubleshooting and repairing electronic broadcast equipment.
- Satellite ground system equipment experience.
- ENG (microwave) remote truck and field systems experience.
- Experience with Newscast production equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed may include overnight and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
