Base Salaryis per 2026-27 Salary Schedule plus an Annual Flat Salary Stipend.
Total gross salary for MA Step 1 is $61675.20. (Salary is $52675.20 $9000 annual flat salary stipend.)
Experience and additional applicable graduate credits will advance you on the salary schedule.

New Teachers are offered a one-time salary advance opportunity to increase their August paycheck. We want to assist in all ways possible through the transition into the teaching profession.
Paid Leave: 4 Personal Days; 9 Sick Days; 5 Bereavement Days; Civic Leave; and Professional Leave as determined by administrators. Certified staff also administer a Sick Leave Bank that all certified staff are eligible to join on an annual basis. Teachers who are parents or guardians of an FPS student can also use up to 4 sick days per year to attend FPS-sponsored activities for their child.
Retirement: FPS is a member of the Nebraska Public Employee Retirement System and contributes to the defined plan per Nebraska statute

- Masters Degree in the area of Speech Pathology with a minimum of 36 graduate semester hours
Certification/Licensure:
- Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Special Services Certificate with an endorsement in Speech Pathology

- Successful teaching experience and/or clinical experience
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of psycho-educational diagnosis instructional materials behavior modification and management development and implementation of IEPs and integrated speech/language service delivery models
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education and Building Principals
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of each employees position includes (1) regular dependable in-person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge skills and abilities and to perform the identified work activities; and (3) the ability to perform the physical requirements on their specific job description.
Basic:
The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for planning and providing evaluative consultative and habilitative services for eligible communicatively handicapped students. Functioning as a member of building resource teams whenever possible the Speech/Language Pathologist shall assist other staff members and parents or guardians in the development and implementation of appropriate services designed to meet the individual needs of students referred.
Frequent:
- Identify diagnose assess interpret report and assist in planning for the needs of students experiencing communicative disorders of fluency voice articulation and/or language.
- Plan and/or participate in conferences with parents.
- Assist in the development of individual intervention or therapy plans for students implement these plans through the provision of direct or indirect service to students evaluate students progress in therapy and adjust student individual programs when necessary.
- Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Teams and staffings.
- Assist staff and parents in referring students to other community agencies when appropriate.
- Plan participate in or evaluate inservice activities upon request of principals staff or Director of Student Services.
