Talent Acquisition Consultant

Contract: Full Time Monday to Friday 08.30-17.00

Salary up to 29856.80 depending on experience plus great benefits

Gloucester based with the option of hybrid working up to 2 days per week once competent on systems & processes

About the role:

As a Talent Acquisition Consultant youll play a key role in attracting hiring and retaining highquality talent across a designated business area. Youll partner closely with hiring managers provide expert recruitment support and ensure a seamless candidatecentric experience throughout the hiring lifecycle.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers acting as their first point of contact for recruitment needs
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand new vacancies and create compelling optimised job adverts
  • Post roles across job boards and social channels to attract diverse talent
  • Proactively source candidates using job boards social media and smart sourcing techniques
  • Screen applicants against agreed criteria and coordinate interviews within agreed timeframes
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both hiring managers and candidates
  • Manage the offer and compliance process ensuring consistency and timely completion
  • Maintain accurate recruitment administration using Workday ATS
  • Analyse recruitment data including timetohire and key KPIs
  • Support the wider TA team to ensure a smooth efficient recruitment process
  • Promote Mears as an employer of choice and uphold a One Mears approach
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR function to deliver a joinedup service
  • Attend careers fairs recruitment events and community engagement activities to promote opportunities at Mears Group
  • Visit branches nationwide to support hiring managers facetoface and gain a deeper understanding of local recruitment needs
  • Be prepared to travel across the UK as required

Role Criteria:

  • Previous recruitment experience (inhouse or agency)
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook Teams)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Resilient adaptable and confident making independent decisions
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with ATS systems (Workday desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
