As Corporate Accounting Intern you will report to the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting and support the team with cash applications data entry journal entries and other ad hoc projects
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations monitor and journalize daily cash transactions including bank charges and other cash transactions.
  • Ensure that all tenant receipts and related transactions are processed accurately and on a timely basis to the tenant accounts for an assigned portfolio of properties.
  • Manage and maintain cash application email box.
  • Manage electronic deposit process and archive deposit slips.
  • Conduct variance analysis for general and administrative expenses.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives and take on other duties.
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • You are currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across all levels within and outside First Capital.
  • You have outstanding organizational capabilities with the ability to prioritize.
  • You are a self-starter with willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong computer skills including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite i.e. Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
OUR APPLICATION PROCESS:
Our Summer Internships/Co-Ops are four-month paid in-person opportunities commencing on May 4 2026 and concluding on August 21 2026. Interns must be available on a full-time basis for the entire duration of the program.
