We are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our team in one of todays most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director Engineering and is based in San Jose CA. This is a fully on-site in office role 5 days a week.
Role and Responsibilities:
First priority is to support the Customer Installation Group (CIG) with the creation of new bill of materials using construction related drawings
Update existing bill of materials as site design evolves
Monitor assigned cases in Salesforce of upcoming site installations and proactively pull
information from CIG
Monitor engineering changes that release or replace site installation parts and kits
If time allows support Product Development and NPI with electro/mechanical design and documentation
Skills and Experience:
Expert level experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Experience with PLM and Salesforce software (Agile experience is preferred)
Experience with CAD file management a plus (Enterprise PDM preferred)
Sound understanding of product data management and PLM systems required
Experience with bill of material and product structuring
Experience with version and revision control systems
Experience with interpreting construction or civil engineering drawings is a plus
Exceptional working knowledge of change management industry standards and best practices
Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions based on available information
Ability to lead projects create action plans monitor and report on progress and follow through on their implementation
