Job Summary
Perform design and release of exterior lighting components including headlamp and rear lamp assemblies from concept through production; create CAD models and drawings in CATIA V5 and V6 or NX applying GD&T tolerance stack-up and design for manufacturability and assembly; prepare bills of materials statements of requirements for RFQ and cost and feasibility inputs for supplier nomination; plan part timing to meet vehicle milestones and follow the PLM change-control process; conduct packaging and mounting studies to satisfy styling thermal photometric electrical harness and regulatory requirements; support DFMEA PFMEA process flow APQP PPAP and DVP&R validation with cross-functional teams and suppliers; track test results perform problem solving and corrective actions and verify effectiveness prior to gateway reviews; prepare design concept sheets technical files and release documentation and provide status updates and risk mitigation summaries to stakeholders.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering and five years of experience.
