Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Multiple IHS Service Units (AZ CA NV)Profiles due: 9/17Contract Term:12-month base period four 1-year option periodsNon-personal services contract to provide coverage and minimize pharmacy service disruptionsLocations:Fort Yuma Health Center (Winterhaven CA)Parker Indian Health Center (Parker AZ)Peach Springs Health Center (Peach Springs AZ)Hopi Health Care Center (Polacca AZ)Phoenix Indian Medical Center (Phoenix AZ starts Option Year 1)Southern Bands Health Center (Elko NV)Whiteriver Service Unit & Cibecue Health Center (Whiteriver AZ starts Option Year 1)Shifts:Mostly 8-hour weekday shifts MondayFridayPhoenix IHS and Whiteriver may require varied schedules including evenings weekends and holidaysShift hours vary by site (081730 etc.)Qualifications:PharmacistActive unrestricted Pharmacist license in any US state or territoryBachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy from accredited schoolMinimum 2 years of pharmacist experienceCurrent BLS certificationIV admixture and immunization certification preferredPharmacy TechnicianActive unrestricted Pharmacy Tech certificationMinimum 1 year of technician experienceCurrent BLS certificationKey Duties:PharmacistReview patient charts process orders check prescriptionsEducate patients on medication therapyCollaborate with providers answer drug therapy questionsAdminister immunizations (with certification)Handle controlled substance audits and IV admixtures as neededPharmacy TechnicianFill and compound prescriptionsMaintain inventory prepackage medicationsDispense refills assist with inspectionsSupport inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operationsSubmission Requirements:Up to 6 CVs (Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs combined)Include current resume work history copies of licenses certifications BLS and educationList years of healthcare experience academic medical center or IHS experience if applicableMust meet IHS security clearance (fingerprint and OIG check) prior to start
