PHARMACIST CONTRACT OPPORTUNITYLocation: Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center Indian Health ServiceAddress: 100 Lake Traverse Drive Sisseton SD 57262Contract Dates: September 1 2025 February 28 2026 (with nine optional 6-month extensions)Submission Deadline: August 14 2025Open Positions: Two (2) PharmacistsCandidate RequirementsLicensure and Education:Active unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state the District of Columbia or Puerto RicoPharmacy degree from an accredited institutionExperience and Certifications:Minimum of 2 years of pharmacist experience within the past 3 yearsCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationRecent TB/PPD testImmunizations: Hepatitis B MMR Varicella Tdap and InfluenzaSkills:Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR)Strong communication and patient counseling skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a diverse healthcare teamWork ScheduleTypical Hours: Monday to Friday 9:30 AM 6:00 PMWeekend Shifts: 12:00 PM 5:00 PM (5-hour shifts)Total Hours: 40 hours per weekFlexibility required for holidays and occasional overtime based on patient care needsShifts are assigned by the Pharmacy Supervisor and may vary depending on facility operationsPosition ResponsibilitiesReview and verify medication orders in the EHR systemProvide patient counseling and document all interactions accuratelyEnsure medication accuracy and appropriatenessMonitor for potential drug interactions and adherence to the formularyParticipate in the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) modelComply with Indian Health Service (IHS) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and facility-specific regulationsUphold professionalism cultural awareness and patient confidentiality at all timesMay provide sole pharmacy coverage when permanent staff are unavailableIdeal Candidate AttributesDetail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety and complianceCulturally sensitive to the needs of the Native American communityFlexible and adaptable to varying patient needs and staffing conditionsCommitted to collaborative healthcare deliveryTo Apply:Submit profiles of qualified and credentialed pharmacists no later than August 14 2025 for consideration.
