What would you be doing at Woodard & Curran

The Operator under direction of the Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager will perform daily operations and maintenance activities at the treatment facilities and pump stations with supervision operations/monitoring/maintenance and housekeeping of the facilities in accordance with contract requirements.

Activities include:

    • The operation and monitoring of the Pumping station and the satellite pumping stations and all associated components.
    • Monitor the SCADA system.
    • Daily inspection of facility.
    • Maintaining communications with project personnel.
    • Preventive maintenance activities and data entry and report generation including data for preparing the Monthly Operating Report.
    • Monitor and control assigned tasks to ensure cost-effective service to meet budget and will serve as an integral team member with the project staff and management.
    • Comply with all company Health and Safety procedures and policies.
    • Coordinate with plant personnel ensuring that other facility employees follow established administrative safety operating and maintenance policies.

Schedule:

    • The Operators work a 12-hour shift that covers a 2-week cycle as illustrated below: Overtime for any hours over 40.

    • Week 1 Saturday: Midnight-Noon Sunday: Midnight-Noon Off Monday and Tuesday Wednesday: Midnight-Noon Thursday: Midnight-Noon Friday Off - Total Hours 48 (8 hours OT and time and a half)

    • Week 2 Saturday and Sunday Off Monday: Midnight-Noon Tuesday: Midnight-Noon Wednesday and Thursday Off Friday: Noon-Midnight - Total Hours 36

What you will need to succeed

    • Must possess proficiency with computers including an ability to work with: SCADA Microsoft Word Excel Maintenance Management Programs and other site specific systems.
    • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
    • A minimum of five years of professional experience in the operation and maintenance of a water or wastewater treatment facility is desired.
    • Possess and maintain a minimum of a Massachusetts Grade 4M Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators License.
    • Valid Massachusetts Drivers License required.
    • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.
$25 - $33 an hour
Depending on qualifications and experience.
