Il sagit dun poste basé sur chantier offrant une exposition directe à la gestion quotidienne de la construction à lallocation des ressources à la planification et au contrôle des coûts.

Ce que vous ferez ici :

  • Réaliser des audits et des analyses sur le chantier et produire des rapports quotidiens hebdomadaires et mensuels destinés à léquipe de projet et aux parties prenantes clés.
  • Assister les ingénieurs terrain et les surintendants dans leurs tâches quotidiennes.
  • Effectuer le suivi des quantités et lanalyse de la productivité afin doptimiser lefficacité des opérations.
  • Réaliser des relevés de quantités à partir des plans de construction au besoin.
  • Faire preuve dun grand souci du détail et être en mesure de vérifier la qualité des travaux réalisés.
  • Collaborer avec léquipe de projet et informer les intervenants concernés de lavancement de léchéancier.
  • Suivre lavancement des travaux et contribuer à la préparation des rapports de coûts pour la direction sur les projets en cours.
  • Fournir des données et un soutien lors des conciliations de fin de mois.
  • Assurer la tenue des dossiers et de la correspondance pour les projets en cours et complétés.
  • Offrir un soutien technique aux équipes terrain aux ouvriers spécialisés et aux sous-traitants.
  • Participer à la préparation à la révision au suivi et à lapprobation des dessins dingénierie et des documents connexes.
  • Collecter les informations du chantier et contribuer à la préparation des bordereaux de matériaux.
  • Aider à la préparation destimations détaillées de construction et de conception.
  • Assurer la liaison avec les clients les entrepreneurs et les départements internes.
  • Effectuer toute autre tâche administrative connexe au besoin.
  • Faire preuve dautonomie et être capable de travailler avec un minimum de supervision directe.

Ce que vous apportez à léquipe :

  • Être actuellement inscrit(e) dans un programme universitaire ou collégial technique en génie civil ou en gestion de la construction.
  • Une expérience dans lindustrie de la construction constitue un atout important.
  • Connaissances de base des équipements de construction des techniques des plans des matériaux et des normes applicables au projet.
  • Détenir un permis de conduire valide avec un bon dossier de conduite.
  • Bonne maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel et Word).
  • Connaissances de base dAutoCAD et/ou Bluebeam (atout).
  • Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles et de communication à loral comme à lécrit.
  • Fort sens de lorganisation et de la gestion du temps.
  • Excellente éthique de travail motivation élevée et volonté de sinvestir pleinement pour bien faire le travail.
  • Capacité à accéder librement à toutes les zones dun chantier dans divers environnements et conditions climatiques.
  • Flexibilité pour travailler selon des horaires variables (jour et nuit) afin de respecter les échéanciers.
  • Disponibilité à se déplacer ou à déménager pour occuper le poste.

Taux horaire : 2300 $ à 2500 $ de lheure

What Is The Opportunity

Aecon has openings within the Foundations division for Engineering Co-op students. These positions will provide the opportunity to take an active involvement in exciting heavy civil projects and provide opportunities for learning and development.This is a site-based positionand will include exposure to the day to day management of project construction resource allocation scheduling and cost this assignment the student intern will have the following duties:


What Youll Do Here:

  • Conduct site audits and analysis provide daily/weekly/monthly reports to the project staff and key stakeholders.
  • Assist Field Engineers and Superintendents with day-to-day tasks
  • Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for maximization of operation efficiency.
  • Perform quantity take-off from construction drawings as required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to review the quality of completed work.
  • Liaise with and inform the project staff or any other Aecon delegate on the project schedule.
  • Monitor progress and assist in the provision of job cost reports to management on active projects.
  • Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation.
  • Maintain files and correspondence on active and completed projects.
  • Provide technical support to field staff craft and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the preparation review maintenance and approval of Engineering drawings and related documents.
  • Gather field information and assist in the preparation of project bill of materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed construction and design estimates.
  • Liaise with clients contractors and internal departments.
  • Other administrative duties as required.
  • Must be self-motivated and work well with minimum or no direct supervision.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Currently enrolled in a university or technical college diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset
  • Beginner knowledge of construction equipment and techniques drawings building materials and required standards applicable to the project.
  • A valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Beginner knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A strong work ethic highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedules (day and night shifts) when required to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Must be willing to relocate or travel for the position

Hourly Wage - $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
