Dignity Health Medical Group Dominican a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation is committed to serving the continuing health care needs of Santa Cruz County. Supported by the rich community history Dominican Hospital our doctors provide convenient personalized care to patients throughout the region along the full continuum of care. We operate 18 clinics in Santa Cruz County and feature more than 100 providers with specialties including pediatrics oncology and hematology plastic and reconstructive surgery gastroenterology OB/GYN urology physical medicine and rehabilitation and urgent care. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Assistant youll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.
Every day you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.
Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others work efficiently and your empathy for our patients.

Job Requirements
- High School Graduate General Studies upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies upon hire and
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to theDivision of Allied Health Professions upon hire or
- Military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program (determination by DHMF H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health Professions.)
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
Preferred
- Six (6) months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant and
- Six (6) months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Office Receptionist and
- an equivalent amount ofexperience in a high-volume customer service role in anotherindustry/environment and
- or 6 monthsexperience as a Phone Receptionist orHealth Information Associate withinDHMF.
