Job Summary
The Part-Time Thrift Shop Associate supports the daily operations of the Hugh Chatham Auxiliary Thrift Shop. This position assists with donations sales customer service and maintaining an organized welcoming store environment. The role helps further the Auxiliarys mission to support community health programs through the proceeds from its thrift shop.
Education and Formal Training: High School diploma is required.
Work Experience: Three or more years of prior customer service and retail experience preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Provide positive customer service have effective problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Proficiency in working with a cash register and a credit card machine. Effective bookkeeping and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask. Basic computer skills. The ability to bend reach lift 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
