Reporting to the Manager of Process Automation the process automation python developer is accountable for partnering with the business subject matter experts in Investment Resource group to develop implement and support a variety of automated solutions using Python and other tools offered at CC&L Financial Group for repetitive processes and tasks.

What You Will Do

Design and implement automated solutions primarily using Python as well as tools such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate Power Apps Power BI) and AI technologies (Microsoft Copilot ChatGPT) while adhering to the automation development lifecycle within the Azure DevOps environment.
Work with the business analyst to translate business requirements into scalable solution and technical tasks.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
Continuously debug and optimize existing code to enhance automation performance for scalability and robustness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global locations to define and implement standardized approaches for automation.
Proactively propose improvements for the development framework and standards
Build and maintain strong business relationships with internal stakeholders fostering a culture of innovation.
Educate users on automation capabilities and best practices to identify potential use cases.
Act as a liaison with information systems operational risk teams and other key stakeholders to drive synergy within CC&L Financial Group.
Provide support for the existing automation platform in close collaboration with Information System teams as needed

What You Bring

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering Physics Data Science or a related field.
35 years of experience in automation or software development using object-oriented programming languages such as Python (preferred) or Java.
Solid understanding of automation or software development methodologies as well as business process design analysis and mapping.
Proficiency with Git and code repositories.
Experience with APIs (e.g. Microsoft Graph API).
Experience with DevOps platforms such as Azure (preferred) or AWS.
Strong Excel skills including formulas VBA and Power Query is an asset.
Familiarity with data engineering data manipulation and integrating multiple data sources is an asset.
Experience with Robotic Process Automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate UiPath Blue Prism or Automation Anywhere is an asset.
A continuous improvement mindset focused on scalability and robustness of automation solutions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and synthesize information into actionable insights.
Knowledge of project/program support planning implementation and change management.
Creative and tenacious problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic high-volume environment.
Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
Demonstrate high motivation and proven track record of delivering results
Exhibit exceptional problem-solving and algorithmic thinking skills with a passion for expanding automation expertise.
Knowledge of post-trade operational processes and compliance standards within the financial services industry is an asset.

Thesalary rangefor this positionis $80000-$ salary range provided reflects the base salary for this position as required by addition there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position.
