What are you going to do
As a Competitive Pricing Analyst known internally as Retail Pricing Analyst you work closely with the pricing strategy team. You are jointly responsible for the revenue performance of AIRFRANCE KLM as well as our partners DELTA AIR LINES and VIRGIN ATLANTIC. You are mainly responsible for the daily price competitiveness of a specific portfolio. You discover and analyze trends in the market and take action where necessary according to the pricing addition you are responsible for various projects and you contribute to the optimization of internal pricing processes with the aim of structurally improving ticket revenues.
Your main tasks and responsibilities
- Retail pricing: monitoring and optimizing day-to-day price competitiveness in line with the pricing strategy and taking timely action where needed based on market developments performance insights and stakeholder input.
- Analyze & report: developing and delivering analyses and reports to track market dynamics performance and competitive trends and present insights to senior stakeholders to support pricing strategy evaluation and decision making.
- Fare distribution: ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of fares in the filing system. You also use the technical knowledge you gained to give feedback on the feasibility of initiatives and to implement fare conditions effectively and efficiently.
- Other tasks/projects in your portfolio related to Retail pricing aimed at improving the competitive position processes tooling and adjusting to market dynamics. You do this with stakeholders within and outside the department.

Your profile
We are looking for a motivated commercially minded analyst with an academic background; someone who is eager and learns quickly.
- You have an energetic personality you are at the start of your professional career and you have the ambition to grow within KLM.
- You are very proficient with Microsoft Excel and you master English language both orally and in writing.
- It is important that you can work well in a team and that you understand the organization. You thrive in a fast-paced international environment with multiple cultures.
- You possess the following skills and competences:
- Result-oriented with excellent analytical skills: You are accurate and can act quickly.
- You work well both independently and in a team.
- You are good at building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and other relevant stakeholders.
- You can condense your analyses to clear Powerpoint presentations and present to various audiences.

- You have excellent communication skills.
- Experience with programming (VBA/SQL/Python) and agile way of working is a plus.
