High School Instructional Assistant Self-Contained Classroom

North Marion High Schoolis seeking a qualifiedInstructional Assistantto support students in a self-contained special education classroom. This role is an essential part of our instructional team working closely with licensed staff to provide individualized academic behavioral and social-emotional support in a structured and inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate is patient flexible and committed to helping students thrive through consistent routines positive relationships and high expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Under teacher direction support individualized instructionand learning plans for each student.

• Implement IEP goals accommodations and behavior supports across school settings.

• Provide personal care and assist with adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed.

• Monitor student behavior support de-escalation and follow safety and crisis protocols.

• Collect and share student progress data with instructional and support staff.

• Maintain a safe structured environment and collaborate with the educational team to support student success.

Qualifications

• Bilingual - Spanish SpeakingPreferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to support students with cognitive developmental physical and/or behavioral needs

• Willingness and ability to provide personal care assistance and meet the physical demands of the position including lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Strong communication skills professionalism

• Ability to maintain confidentiality while working collaboratively with diverse students families and staff.
