The Role
As a Credit Controller you will play a key role in protecting Grayces cash flow by managing the end-to-end credit control process. Youll take ownership of invoicing debt collection reconciliations and stakeholder communication ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Credit control&receivables management
- Maintainingaccuratecustomer accounts
- Proactively following up on outstanding invoices and resolving customer queries
- Reducing debtor days and supporting cashflow forecasting
Cash allocation & reconciliation
- Allocating customer payments with accuracy
- Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
- Supporting month-end close
Reporting & Controls
- Preparing weekly and monthly aged debt reports
- Highlighting high-risk accounts and recommending actions
- Supporting audit requirements related to receivables and revenue
Stakeholder collaboration
- Working in close collaboration with Sales Operations and Finance
- Supporting the setup of new customers and credit checks
- Developing andmaintainingprofessional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Other finance operations support
- Supporting wider finance operations asrequired
- Providing cover for accounts payable and expense processing
- Assistingwith finance process improvementsand supporting finance projects
About You
Youre detaildriven organised and proactive in managing your own workload. Youre comfortable working independently prioritising to meet deadlines and confidently escalating issues when needed. With strong problemsolving skills and a gogetter attitude you take a practical approach to driving outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar credit control or finance role
- AAT qualified or working towards (preferred)
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
- Confident using Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting systems - Sage Intacct is a bonus
