What will your role be

This role sits within the Technology Projects and Services division specifically in the Analytical Innovation area of our Innovation Laboratories. You will serve as a Analytical Innovation Project Responsible with solid technical expertise and management skills. You will be responsible for executing research projects in the analytical field organizing resources and coordinating analysts to achieve project goals. Additionally you will implement methods across the different labs within the Analytical Innovation Department.

• Direct coordinate and oversee the execution of analytical innovation projects performing advanced testing when necessary.

• Implement analytical methods in various laboratories nationwide ensuring knowledge transfer staff training and advising on method improvements.

• Manage the commissioning of highly sophisticated state-of-the-art analytical equipment adapting them to research requirements and market needs.

• Supervise and issue standard operating procedures (SOPs) upon completion of equipment setup.

• Collaborate actively with the Head of Analytical Innovation to identify technological needs suppliers and equipment.

• Conduct regular meetings with researchers from other departments (Energy Transition Bio-oil Technologies etc.) to identify new analytical requirements for their projects.

Who are we looking for

• Education: Masters degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or a related field. A PhD or pre-doctoral experience is highly valued.

• Technical Expertise: Mastery of advanced analytical techniques specifically GCGCTOF Mass Spectrometry (triple quadrupole and high resolution) ICPMS and HPLCMS.

• Languages: Advanced English (B2-C1).

• Experience: A minimum of 4 years in specialized roles focusing on chromatography and mass spectrometry.

• Management: Proven experience in project and/or laboratory management including coordinating teams of at least 34 people.

• Its a plus if you have: Experience directing Masters theses (TFM/TGM) or other university collaborations.

Location: Innovation Center Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).
