Job Summary

Description

The Clothing Clerk helps create a positive uplifting experience for every patron entering the temple by ensuring that all temple clothing and linens are clean cared for and ready for use. This includes laundering mending and maintaining all clothing items and textiles used in temple operations.

This is a seasonal role to support during the busy summer months from April - September 2026. We are hiring for one full time (40 hrs per week) and one part time position (20 hrs per week).

Responsibilities

Laundry Operations

Operate commercial laundry equipment with accuracy and care.
Sort wash dry press fold and assemble temple clothing and linens.
Ensure all items are clean prepared and ready for patrons workers and temple needs.

Patron Service

Assist patrons courteously providing correct sizes and needed temple clothing.
Maintain fully stocked clothing supplies.
May assist with or oversee clothing rental processes.

Equipment Care & Quality Control

Perform daily preventative maintenance on laundry machinery filters vents and screens.
Replace washer chemicals and spot clean clothing using appropriate solutions.
Support pressing/steaming duties and track daily production as needed.
Carry out additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Prior experience in laundry operations retail customer service or similar roles is preferred.
Able to follow instructions accurately and remain teachable.
Proven ability to work well with others and maintain a positive cooperative attitude.
Consistent excellence in customer service and patron interaction.
Good verbal communication skills.
Physically able to lift up to 15kg bend kneel stoop pull push and perform physically demanding work in a fastpaced environment.
Able to stand for extended periods and safely use step stools or ladders.
Basic computer skills (e.g. simple data entry navigating basic systems).
